About Me

My photo
benita a. collini
I am an artist, designer, illustrator and sign painter living and working from Dufferin Gardens Studios, an old flower shop in downtown St. Catharines. Attached to the building is a Lord and Burnham glasshouse which was built in 1929 I have fig trees planted by my dad. I paint in watercolour on paper and acrylic on everything. Commissioned portraits of pets, people, homes, cottages, cars, bikes, planes and boats. Custom-painted caskets and urns, furniture and accessories. Custom faux finish. Commercial design, hand-painted signs, murals, chalkboards, sandwich boards, restaurant concepts, souvenir and giftwear design. Much of the work on this site was conceived and created by sisters Cynthia DiSimone and Benita Collini.
